Solution Implementation

The proper implementation of systems and technology is critical to the successful management of supply chain processes and activities.

Implementation of the SUPPLY CHAIN solution focus on the realization of the benefits defined in the Solutions Design through the structured establishment of the process and system changes, then to entrench these changes to ensure sustainability and realization of benefits.

The focus is on a solution that fit the environment and enabling customer resources to sustain and improve over time.

Data plays a key role in the success and proper use of any management system. The e-Logics SUPPLY CHAIN team has vast experience in the extraction of existing and capturing of incomplete data to populate our Supply Chain Software. We have also specialised skills in the integration of existing systems such as ERP’s to ensure that master data is maintained in one place, and transactional data can be utilised in our supply chain improvement tool.

The e-Logics specialized technology expertise and tools make it possible to tailor the standard software model to the specific environment and customer requirements. The customization process includes the integration into existing systems. The e-Logics FRAMEWORK plays a vital role to ensure managed changes of the system functionality, making provision for future technology upgrades and enhancements. This allows clients to build custom functionality or to integrate systems and still enjoy the benefits that future technology upgrades provide.

The level of sophistication of supply chain management is such that the supporting information systems form the “cement” which binds the various components of the total environment together. This ensures total supply chain integration.

Although the information systems per say make no difference to operational and maintenance performance, insufficient and fragmented systems simply lead to inefficient planning, insufficient visibility, administrative overloads, hence un-focused management. Poor configuration results in a system is a burden rather than helpful in improving the efficiency of users.

Role descriptions, fully aligned with business processes, and designed to support the integrated systems environment is critical during implementation of changes to business processes and systems. Special emphasis is put on ongoing improvement during any training activities.

The roll-out phase includes functional based training and change management for the relevant staff, to fully understanding the integrated processes and systems.

As part of our vision to strive for excellence in system development and implementation, e-Logics applies a methodology with a strong focus on change management principles. This approach not only focuses on the technical issues but also the human aspect, resulting in solutions that are integrated in all aspects. An outcomes based training approach does not only focus on training of system functionality, but is done in a business process and role context.

During the review process we verify adherence to procedures, and provide in-work coaching or re-training as required. This process verifies the ongoing integrity of the system, and adjustment can be made as required. A final audit is performed to certify and close the project or define the next phase scope.
